Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Dear Doodle Lovers:
What do you recommend as the best shampoo for Doodles? I like to bring my own shampoo and conditioner to the groomer and I was using Best Shot. I like it very much but I thought I would check in with the wisdom of the group and ask your opinions. Sophie sheds, she has wavy, not curly hair. It is much more like a Golden Retriever than Poodle. I appreciate your help. Thank you.

My last dog had extremely sensitive skin and was highly allergic to fleas. My rescue forum site recommended Dawn (original dish soap). It was great. I had to give him a bath every week. His coat was always shinny. Even the vet was surprised at how good his skin looked. I also rinsed him with vinegar and water.
I loved using Best Shot products - soft coat & sooo easy to comb through BUT Picco scratched like crazy. I switched to an oatmeal/baking soda shampoo & conditioner and still use the Best Shot spray detangler and the itching subsided significantly. I tried tea tree but he still scratched and the conditioner didn't seem to condition his hair, it wasn't very silky and hard to brush.
I would like to try a medicated to see if it would work out better - any suggestions?
I used a puppy "no tears" at first, then a doggie oatmeal - no special brand. I am going to get some baby shampoo. I don't like anything perfumed, it makes Me sneeze LOL.
Quincy's coat is so dense that it takes so much shampoo to penetrate - I use 1/4 bottle a bath!
We like the CC Spectrum 10!!
Our breeder was using Dawn dishsoap on our puppy and his coat was soooooooo dry! We use CC products and his coat is really soft now :)
