I am really excited, we are on the way to get Polly today. We will get to the breeder's this late this afternoon and Meg and Polly will meet and spend some time together. We will spend the night in a hotel and then back to the breeder in the morning to pick Polly up. She has been sleeping by herself this past week and we are bringing the rug from Meg's crate for them to wallow around on during the long drive home, I am hoping that gives Polly plenty of Meg's scent to comfort her during the night and we have a fairly smooth transition to the crate here.
My only worry about today is that I am sure Polly has not been on a lead yet and potty breaks may be a bit traumatic for her. I requested last week that she have a collar on (turns out the breeder does that anyway) and that she have a lead attached to drag around a bit so she gets a bit of a feel for it, not sure they do that. She is 15 weeks old and I think probably going to be to fast to have her out for a potty break without a lead on the way home.
Her wellness exam is scheduled for first thing Monday morning (the vet techs and Meg's groomer are all waiting to meet her), house is already full of toys, the yard is in good shape and we just laid out a 'patio' of pavers to cover the area that is difficult to grow grass in and hopefully that will cut down on some of the dirt that would naturally be dragged in.

Good luck, keep us updated!
I so adore Polly's name! Congratulations and good luck. We got Ned at about 14 weeks and stopped for potty breaks. I don't think he had been on a lead before, but we had no trouble.
Glad it when well! I'll bet it was tough leaving little Polly Wolly Doodle behind for the night :(
Can you purchase a harness for those potty breaks? So much safer on the highway. Too often a dog not used to a lead will pull back away from the lead and slip out of the traditional collar.
Best wishes and a safe travel home
