Hi everyone!  I haven't been on DK very much but am looking very forward to next week when I get to meet some of my favorite Doodle people on the Doodle Cruise!

I wanted to share a project that I have been working on.  Many of you know that I volunteer for a local rescue in my area.  You may not know that this summer I fell in love with a very terrified terrier in a kill shelter and this rescue allowed me to pull him in the last hour.  This rescue and that little guy will forever have a special place in my heart.  I have been working with the rescue (www.bfpa.org) on a special project for an entire year now.  We have been creating a 2014 calendar and 2 sets of boxed cards.  They are finally ready and I am so very excited!  Every dog featured has a special story that is shared in the calendar/cards and all of the photos were taken by me.  100% of the profit goes to the medical fund for BFPA so that they can save more dogs.

I know that lots of rescues are asking for donations right now and I also know that you all may be waiting to order a Doodle calendar, but I would really appreciate it if you would consider purchasing a calendar or set of boxed cards to support this wonderful rescue.  Not only because they are my photos (LOL) but because each of these dogs has a special story and I know each of them personally. Ronna, your sample photos and lay out are absolutely wonderful.  Thanks so much for doing this to help in rescue. Anyone would be proud to display this calendar or use the notecards.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated/ ordered calendars and cards. I just can't tell you how much it means to me and these animals. I just can't speak highly enough of BFPA. They are so very supportive of their fosters both financially and emotionally and the dogs in their program get the best possible care. When I fostered Simon I was so impressed, on top of the necessary vetting they allowed him to have a much needed dental and on the first of every month arrived a package addressed to Simon with his HW preventative and Frontline. They even provide food ( good food ) if the fosters need it or can't afford to feed quality food.

I hope that I have helped in some small way to get some of these dogs adopted. I hope the calendars and cards are successful so that more dogs can be saved.

Ronna, I too got our cards and calendar today and they are beautiful. My DH and I had a great time looking and reading about all the Rescue dogs.  Very inspiring and loving!  What a great cause to support!
