I don't know about everyone else, but I have TONS of photos and I rarely do anything with. I FINALLY I got in the mood and framed and hung some photos. The hawk was a framing nightmare. I didn't like how the photo fit into a standard frame so I decided to order a custom size frame. I know frames are expensive but I forgot just how expensive. I located an online store that had more reasonably priced unfinished frames and I like the ide of selecting my own stain color. (My husband, who did the staining for me, was much less enthused!) We have a really nice mat cutter so I ordered the mat board and "we" cut the mats. O F course then there's the glass. Oddly enough, both Michael's are Aaron Brothers will give you a super discount on the glass for the simple pleasure of allowing them to assemble you pieces into a finished product for you (at no extra cost)--they even throw in and install the hanging hardware, All in all, it was a lot of work!!!! The other frames and mats were off the shelf.

Wow! Diane ~ I really love them all. Each and every one is spectacular in my eyes!
Beautiful Diane!
Everything looks so nice. This is the way it's suppose to be. I really like what you've done. I hope more of us will think about doing this...but I hope there is a simple way.
I hope others will join this and let us know if and how they frame their photographs.
Beautiful!
They look great! I always go standard frame size - because I'm too lazy to put in the effort or money to do a custom frame! Yours amazing!
Those look great!
How beautiful! I haven't yet printed and framed any of my photos. Soon--this gives me inspiration.
And I thought making my own frame was a lot of work!!
What a great job you did with these.
Beautiful, Diane. Wonderful. We broke a frame of a sketch that belonged to my mom and had to buy a custom frame. Wow! I had no idea simple frames were that expensive.
The hawk piece is gorgeous over your fireplace! And I love how you put the 3 birds in square frames. They're all lovely!
