hello all... first off is a UTI and a bladder infection the same thing? also I have been noticing Midas urine has a very strong smell.. not like regular urine either..i cant really explain it.. even my sister who has 3 dogs says Midas pee stinks.. he drinks TONS of water, always has..he is very active.. so I would think his urine should be pretty diluted, but it really smells.. he doesn't cry when he pees on anything, no vomiting, no appetite changes, no strange behavior either.. how can I tell if he has UTI or bladder infection..how does the vet diagnose and what is the treatment? thanks in advance xoxo

But I see what you wrote. LOL ;)

I think she's pulling both your legs.
F, I would agree! ;)

Joanne, did you spill soup or ??? after using your ladle to dish it up?

I think like with any type of infection, fever would be a symptom.  When Gavin has a recurring fever, they vet seemed to think a protracted bladder or kidney infection could be the culprit.  I remember his urine being very dark.

Most humans with bladder infections don't have fevers and neither do dogs I think. Kidney infections do cause fevers but people and animals are much sicker with this sort of infection.

Thanks for providing me with the distinction F.
