Coat color stages

We will be deciding on which puppy we will be bringing home soon.  We will pick between a chocolate male or an apricot male.  Does anyone have any information and/or pictures of the coat color and whether or not the color stays the same through the life of the pup or do they change?  I realized there will always be changes, but if, for example, we picked the chocolate male, would it stay chocolate, or could it end up black or silver?

We have a chocolate and he is now 5 months old and his coat hasn't changed much. He is a little curlier than he was when little but has remained pretty dark chocolate so far. I think you best prediction will come from earlier litters and Mom and Dad.
