LEMONS WORK!!!!!!

Great suggestion to help the nipping and biting issue. Highly recommend rubbing it on your hands when a puppy starts biting. We rubbed some lemon on our hand when she started nipping and wallah! she backed off and started licking her nose like crazy. Now all I have to do is say "I am getting the lemon" and she backs off with the biting. It took a few lemon baths and holding the lemon so that she would associate the visual picture with the word.

Wow, I am going to try this. Did you use lemon juice or a lemon? And what is a lemon bath?
We are having a horrible time with Oliver "mouthing." He doesn't bite down but he uses he mouth way to much and it needs to stop!

Brandi, I bought a bag of lemons and cut one in half and keep it in a zip lock bag. When she starts to get mouthy and bite my hands (excitement starts it)...I say Do you want me to get the lemon and rub it on my hand. You ought to see her licking her nose. I will also put some on her tongue if need be. She pretty much draws back and grabs something. If I have to get a bottle of lemon juice and a small spray bottle I will do this and spray it on my shoes or jeans.

I forgot your question...Lemon bath...that is what I feel I am having every time I rub it all around my arms and hands. I smell like lemons every where I go.

hee hee...my Urban LOVES lemon...the trainer told us to use it and he just licks my hands like it is the best thing in the world. A friend suggested vinegar and he loves that too!! ughh...any other suggestions?

For some reason, this just totally cracked me up..."I am getting the lemon" !!! I am ROFLMAO!
I imagine it will soon turn into "Where's the lemon?" or "Do you want the lemon?"

How old is your doodle? Toby just started up again too, and it's driving me to distraction! He KNOWS better as well.
