I was a nervous wreck all day today. Dropped off Enzo at 7 am this morning for her spay. Vet was awesome! Called me after her bloodwork came back to tell me all was great. And then called me again when the surgery was done. All went well.
Picked her up around 4pm. LOL. She came bounding out, just like she went I ! Didn't appear to slow her down on the least. She was NOT thrilled with the "cone do shame". She is resting comfortably now...sound asleep, sans cone. Guess I will have to put it back on for the night. Keeping her quiet for the next 2 weeks will be fun! ;). Sure glad THAT is over with!

Awwwww.....sweet girl!

She was feeling better this morning, SANS cone :)

Enzo is a big girl now!  I hope her recovery continues to be uneventful.

Thanks Nancy!

Awww...feel better soon Enzo :)

Thank you Cheryl. She is feeling much better. Just ask our cats! ;)

Glad she's doing well!!  We just dropped off Zoe this morning for hers -  I hope she does as well!

Oh, good luck to Zoe!  Honestly, the worst part for you, will be the waiting all day.  For her, the cone!  Poor Enz just stood in the middle of the Vet's office and was afraid to move.  I brought my own cone....smaller and padded for her.   She has only been wearing nights, when I cannot keep a constant eye on her.

We bought a soft cone too!  I think my husband is doing worse than I am- he's a wreck!  Has it been hard to keep Enzo calm now that she's feeling better?

Most definitely!    Trying to keep her calm, is like brushing your teeth while eating a mouthful of Oreos!!!!!!!!!!!!  She does not understand why we are not throwing her ball or her frisbee.  So pathetic, because she keeps dropping toys in front of us to throw or play.  She says laying around the house is BORING!

She has one last dosage of Meds. tonight....and when I checked her incision this morning, it appears she has lost some stitches along the way!  She had 6 and now I can only see 3!  The incision looks good and not red, so, I'm assuming she is good.  Have a call into the Vet now, just for peace of mind.

Too funny!  That will be Zoe I'm sure - we have stairs so we plan to sleep downstairs while she recovers and gate them so she can't leap up them like she normally does.  I have a feeling she'll be bouncing off the walls in no time.

Will the stitches need to be removed, or are they they disolvable kind?

Enzo's are suppose to be removed in 10 days. Just got off the phone with the Vet. We're going in for a suture check....
