Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I am very excited to have found our goldendoodle! She is waiting to grow a bit more before we can take her home, but she is still nameless. I am being haunted by lists of names during the night, but have yet to find one that fits.

Please take a look at her and send suggestions!! The breeder will call her by name if I can ever decide on one.

Thanks!!

Annie :)  She's just darling :)

Like:)

So funny I just thought that too.

Oh yes the most difficult part of getting a puppy...when we got our little girl three months ago...none of us could agree on a name.  Our oldest son wanted Piper, our youngest son wanted Stella, I wanted Willow and my husband was impartial...one day we were all sitting round the dining nroom table and I said what about Ellie and it was a unanimous YES...everyone LOVED it...and it just fits her perfectly...names are so personal...it will just come to you and it will feel just right and sound right.

With our first dog Jack it was so much easier than that.  My grandfather who just loved dogs and had dogs all his life had just passed away a couple of years before and our son at the mere age of five just blurted out one day "why don't we name him after Grandad"...it was a perfect fit and a special tribute to a very special man in our lives.

Good Luck...can't wait to hear what you decide to name your sweet pup!

I can relate to your story, we also had a list of names and All agreed on Ellie two and a half years ago. Still Love it!!! It's a classic!! :)

I agree Heather...a true classic and yet you don't hear it very often which makes it unique!

Petunia or Beatrice:)    Have fun picking out her name!    Sooooo many to choose from!

Sophie, Layla or Sadie. She is just precious.
Penelope or Paisley!!! PRECIOUS!!!
She is seriously cute! How about Poppy, Ginger or Gracie? :-)

How about Dolly

Oh, you have so many great suggestions.  She is darling and the right name will come to you.  Our first doodle was named Hondo because he was the color of Honduras mahogany.  The next one was Groucho Too because his father was Groucho and he looked just like his father (bushy eyebrows).  Because we had a Groucho, we named the next one Harpo so we have two of the Marx brothers.  If I get another dog, I have thought of naming him Zeppo or Chico.  It would have to be a big dog if I would name him Chico, and I am rather in favor of smaller dogs these days.  Of course our dogs are boys, so you will have to get a great girl's name for your beautiful little girl.  Good luck.  Naming is so much fun.  I loved picking names for kids also, but you can have even more fun with dog's names.
