Each morning before I leave for work, I walk Quincy over to his area and tell him to pee-which he does after a little sniffing and fooling around.  Then he runs back inside, and waits on his bed while I get his Kong ready.  As soon as he sees me pick it up-he bee lines into his crate.

So this morning, DH was still around right before I was going to leave and I asked him to let Quincy out for his last pee-which he did, but did not walk him over to the spot.

When I was ready to leave, I picked up the Kong.  Quincy just sat in the kitchen!  I walked to his crate-Quincy still just sitting in the kitchen.

So I took him out and walked him over to the spot, he peed, ran back in and ran into the crate...just like we usually do...

ROUTINE, MOM, don't you know I thrive on routine?

That is adorable Lori and so very true...Ellie is the same way...we have a routine...and being creatures of habit it is very important to them that we follow through as such...Mom's always know best(LOL)

LOL! Yep, they thrive on routine. After food, water & shelter, knowing what to expect and what is expected are the most important things in the world to a dog. Good boy, Quincy!

HaHa!

This is really cute and so true!

So cute and so true!  I find it so amusing that Libby has a completely different routine at my house than the routine at home with her mom, but she follows them both faithfully!

We have routines also.  While I'm showering Gibbs steals my slippers and my robe every day and drags them across the room, I hate cold tile floors!  Looks like we are going to need to get a robe hook for outside the shower.

LOL...creatures of habit for sure.  AND you have some nerve trying to shake things up!  ;)

Certainly glad Quincy got you guys all straightened out!

LOL-

You're right Ro- he does have to keep us in line!

They are so funny in this way.  AnnaBelle has decided that she is too big to sleep in her crate at night, but she still thinks that she can only eat her food if she gets in her crate and I put it in there.  If I sit it on the floor in the kitchen she just sits there looking at me.

Clearly it is not going to taste as good if it is not served "a la crate"

That is just the cutest thing! Quincy, you are adorable!

So cute, Lori!  Quincy wants you to take him out for his pee!  Trav really loves his routines too.  Somehow I started giving him a treat, even if just a bite of kibble, when we got back from a walk.  Now, of course, he waits patiently for his coming-home treat after every outing!
