Has there been a Blue Buffalo recall recently? Or is that another old article circulating on FB today? The article I read was from 2010 about possible high levels of vitamin D. The recall "best use by dates" were from 2011 but people are still commenting on the article. I guess that's what's causing it to remain active??

No new recall, the FB article that's circulating is from 3 years ago, and the information in that article was inaccurate anyway. There was nothing wrong with the food. Somewhere here in TFG we have an old discussion about the whole thing. Just another example of the cluelessness of FB, lol. People there are a bit behind on the news. Good place to post photos and catch up with friends, bad place for any kind of facts or health information.

Pro-Pet LLC of St. Marys, Ohio has announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of dry dog and cat foods for possible Salmonella contamination.
According to the FDA, a single field test indicated products manufactured during a two-day period and on the same line of production may have the potential to contain the bacteria.
There have been no reports of illness related to this product to date.
The three affected brands include:
- Hubbard Life
- Joy Combo
- QC Plus

Wow! This plant is not to far from me. In fact, years ago we had a painting business and did some painting there. It always kinds stinks when I drive by there. Not sure what the smell is.

Looks like it's mainly sold at feed stores and farm & garden stores.
