Giving puppy carrot stick

Hi, Safiy is one week shy of being 3 months old. I read somewhere (I think google search) that carrot sticks are good for dogs to chew on. Have any of you given your doodle a carrot stick? Thanks! And by the way, I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have this group! I have learn so much from your discussions.

Violet loves sugar snap peas more than carrots...we eat all kinds of fruit and vegies...not the bad onea though......

I actually used to get long carrots (just a bag of them) and then freeze them. Finn loved chewing on them and they helped his gums when he was losing/getting the teeth. The vet actually recommended it...great idea...it kept him entertained and helped with teething!

Forzen carrots are the best for teething!!! And even better: it takes them awhile to eat it;)

Thanks again for your answers and suggestions! So far Safiy loves carrots, apples and bananas! I've yet to try green beans and sugar snap peas. I happen to be giving my daughter a banana and gave a small bite to Safiy and he loved it. He found an apple that was left on the apple tree and ate part of it. I took it away before he got to the seeds. I am freezing carrots sticks today. By the way you all may know this ( but I didn't until just very recently). Grapes and raisins are or can be toxic to dogs! We have grape vines which Safiy had found some old leaves in the garden area. When I googled if grape vine leaves were bad for dogs that's when I discovered the info about grapes and raisins. Needless to say I haves cleared all the grape vines. That was scary! I love my puppy!

I overheard my 4 yr old granddaughter telling her 16 month old sister not to feed Granny's dogs yogurt raisins because it would make them sick! She also told her not to feed the dogs grapes! Both girls just love the dogs!

Salvador is not a carrot fan, but LOVES apples, oranges, sweet potatoes, cheese nips and popcorn.
