Hi everyone! I'm new to Doodle Kisses. I am loving all the information on this site. My family and I are waiting to get our F1 English Cream Goldendoodle on Jan 18th. We will be first pick of the 6 boys, we are so excited to meet our puppy, Argo!! :)

Aidan's story breaks my heart, but he is so lucky to have you…and soon, a puppy. I see you've joined Puppy Madness :) You might also want to join the Training Group and we have a special group for Therapy Dogs.  There are quite a few good teams here on DK and everyone is very supportive.  You'll start with the normal puppy classes and lots of socialization, then work on your Canine Good Citizen Award and more socialization, and when you get to that point, you can pick the therapy dog organization/test required by Aidan's hospital or school. Different hospitals require different certifications. Pet Partners (formerly the Delta Society) and Therapy Dogs International are two of the most commonly accepted. It's a long road and not all great dogs turn out to be good therapy dogs -- or good in every area -- but you'll learn what's right for you, Aidan, and Argo. Join us in the Training and Therapy Dogs groups!

That's great!  I'm just finishing "Animals In Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior" (fascinating and useful) and about to start Joanne's recommendation: "Songs of a Gorilla Nation."

Cheryl, I just got Animals In Translation today and I'm about half way through it, couldn't put it down, very interesting! I plan to get the other one also when I'm done! Have I mentioned how happy I am I found Doodle Kisses, lol ;) Thanks again for your information!!

Thank you!! We get weekly pictures of the 6 boy puppies every Sunday till we can go pick him out. So I will post those pictures on here every Sunday :) We are so excited and thanks, I'm pretty sure they will be the best of friends :)
