Dogs breath suddenly smells like urine

I am baffled. Any suggestions? All of a sudden today, dogs breath stinks so bad like urine. Could it be from his stomach. No change in diet. It's so gross.

Its still stinky. He has a grooming appt this morning and I will have groomer clean his teeth but I am also getting him to the vet. Its weird because the smell only comes up once in a while. I think its coming from his stomach. Wondering if it could be bacteria? His food has been Taste of the Wild for three weeks. He has a ferocious appetite too. Full of energy, too. I will keep you posted. We can learn from each other, right? Another reason I love this sight so much. Thanks so much for your concern!

Dog breath update: well, whatever it was seems to have left as quick as it came. The groomer seems to think it may have been something he ate (i doubt it but wont rule it out) or he said there was a bacteria odor under his mouth flap. He brushed his teeth and gums with an antibacterial toothpaste. So much better. Thanks so much for your concern. Happy New Year, DK friends!
