Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I have been practicing on getting a good photo with background bokeh lights. Of course, one thing to practice on is not enough for me and I had to add into the mix candy canes (blog to follow), hanging ornaments, beds, balls, and dogs. It has not been going smoothly and today I handed my new camera back to John and said, "keep it." My dramatic outburst is over and I decided to post a discussion where we can add similar shots, discuss techniques, camera settings, and give critiques.
Here is the best of what I have gotten so far and I know I have a long way to go. I have taken equal number of Fudge and Vern, but have been less successful with Fudge. They have been great models.
I will continue to update with pictures as I get the hang of things.

I saw something similar and can't remember where either. This is cool!
Neat idea.
I have been working on this shot for weeks. WEEKS! It takes a village. I finally had to switch to Photoshop CS5 because of the better "refine edge" tool and so Camilla could walk me through stuff. I have learned a TON. At one time, I had 7 layers. WOW!! Hayley helped me figure out how to move the candy canes around, Jane introduced us to textures, and Camilla walked me through curves, etc. Nancy (and Georgia Brown) has some further tips, so more to come......
This is one of your best of Vern I think! You should hang it up during Christmas!
Thanks, Camilla. I could never have done this without your help.
Fantastic Laurie!
Thank you, Anne. I was just looking at your spectacular sunset and thinking the same about your photo.
Thanks, Doris. FINALLY :)
Wow, these are SO very good! Now, what is that recipe????
Thanks, DJ. Are you asking me to reveal my secrets? LOL
