Finally!  Going to get a discussion started with good (and safe) dog treats!

As a reminder, any treats made from a company listed in our Recommended Foods list will work, so I am not going to list them here. Visit this link for those brands:  http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/thefoodgroup/forum/topics/recomme...

Please don't apologize, Brittney, you're trying to help people find good treat alternatives, nothing wrong with that!

In the case of the treats, they do contain multiple ingredients. I was able to see them, along with the nutritional analysis, by hovering my mouse over the photo of the package. They look fine to me.

It is the least I could do after you and everyone else have done for me! I am glad you were able to find it!

On a side note I hear you are a huge fan of German Shepard's? Well if you go to the Bailey Chair 4 Dogs Facebook page you may find yourself the cutest picture taken of one! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=235849266586753&set=a.1...

I'm very familiar with that page. I had a GSD foster with MegaE. :)

How about Zukes?

Amy, if you look in the comment section of this group you will see that Zukes just sold to Purina so it is no longer recommended.

Thank you so much...I looked but must have missed it.

No problem! We are all very bummed!

I suspect this one has been asked before, but I've searched and find nothing about Stewart's Chicken (or beef) Liver Pro-Treats. I see on the web that they're offered with, and without, the Stewart's name. They list 100% Chicken Liver as the only ingredient - anything I should be wary about with these??

This is a great group - so helpful - thank you!!!!!

I was not familiar with Stewart. I see that they only seem to be available at the "big box" pet supply chains like PetCo and PetSmart, at least here in my area, which is unusual for this type of company. I need to do a little more research on the company.

Can you explain what you mean about the treats being available with or without the Stewart's name?

Sure. It's very odd. The Stewart's Treats that I've bought in the past have their name on the label. I noticed that my last container looks identical, except "Stewart's" is missing on the label. The website listed on the container also is not the same as Stewart's. I looked it up and the product looks the same, but I'm wary of the subtle differences, as well as the quality. I see you answered my main concern already, thank you very much.
Stewarts website with the label I'm accustomed to is:
http://stewartpet.com/our-products/treats/pro-treat-freeze-dried-tr...

The website on my latest package is: www.gimborn.net.

Both my dogs love these so if they're okay, I'll stick with them; otherwise it will be the Pro Treats.

Thank you Karen!!

Hmm, it looks to be the exact same product. Very confusing.

My biggest concern would be where the liver is sourced.

I just sent an e-mail asking for clarification on the sourcing and on the difference between the two. Let's see what they say.
