Hey Guys,

I've been staying very busy with our new baby (now 4 months old!!) and Brinkley so I haven't been on here much.  Yesterday evening Brinkley was jumping into my SUV when he tripped.   My mom didn't realize that she was standing on his leash so when he jumped forward he didn't go anywhere and did a faceplant onto the backseat.  I discovered that he also must have hit his front paw and nails on the side panel.  I noticed this after I saw him licking his outer toenail on his right foot.  Part of his nail chipped and broke (it's still attached though) and it broke off below the quick.  It's not really far down but enough to make it sore.  Is there anything I need to do for him until it heals?

In other news, Brinkley has done so well with Baby Alex.  He comes running to me when Alex cries almost has if he's telling me that Alex needs me.  He sleeps at my feet everytime it's time for Alex to eat. He just wants to be close all the time.  He's even seemed to get calmer in the past months.

Here's a few pcitures (and I'll add my disclaimer that we have never forced Alex upon Brinkley. We never place the baby on or near Brinkley.  We let Brinkley come to us when he wants to.  We never want to give Brinkley a reason to feel unsure or threatened... so these pictures all happened when Brinkley decided he wanted to come hang out.)

2 adorable babies! That last pic just warms my heart.
Vet. Do it sooner than later. You really do not have time ( as a new mom) to play the wait and see game.
Dog's nails are different than human nails.
My husband and I soaked a foot for days, then weeks, a month of soaking and vet visits This all started by stubbing a toe nail

Cute Pics!!

OMD, these pictures are unvelievably sweet, thanks for updating!! I hope Brinkley's toe feels better really quick!

Such an adorable baby and combined with gorgeous Brinkley those pictures are simply beautiful. I don't know much about toe nails though and hope it's better soon with no pain or soreness.
