Charlie has many times tried to climb a tree to get a squirrel!  If he was a standard size instead of a mini then this may very well have been his story.  Glad he was rescued!

Read the article. Glad the pup wanted to come down, but having "prey-driven" doodle myself I cannot say with the same assurance the firefighter had that "It is safe to say this dog won’t be chasing any more squirrels up any tree." A doodle in pursuit of a squirrel could easily be tricked into the same mistake. Have your see the movie UP? Squirrel!!!!

Haha!  I thought the same thing.  I'm pretty sure that now he knows how to climb the tree, he'll be repeating the performance.  He's just biding his time for another squirrel...

I thought the branch was closer to the ground for the dog to be there.  My surprise to read it took a 14 foot ladder to reach the doodle.  ........I'm still laughing at Ro's comment about the dood not having his cell phone to call 911.
