Rue is my first girl dog, ever. She is quite different than anything I've ever experienced (in a good way!)
What are the biggest differences you all notice if you've owned both??
Rue seems to be sweeter and a lot more messy when pottying!
She gets it all over her legs.. not sure why? Any helpful tips on how to stop this?

Rue you are so cute!
We have a male-who just stopped peeing from a semi squat (meaning he hit the front paw all the time) at around 17 months!
AWE MAN! We are constantly wiping her down or bathing her. I don't handle the pee smell very well.
Problem is, she's a cute little stinker.
No help but just wanted to "Wow, what a cutie!".
Thank you! :)
Rue is adorable and love her little face! We have had one male, four females and I tend to favor the females. Don't know why, just do:) Can't help with the peeing getting all over her, so far Libby stays nice and dry!
She is definitely a sweetie, which makes up for all her messes. Maybe it will get better when all the snow/ice melts and she doesn't have to tip toe?
Rue is very cute! Its funny, my daughter calls Lucy, 'Rue', all the time. Its her nickname for her. She's the only one who calls her that and it has nothing to do with her real name.... not sure where it came from!
As for boys vs. girls, with having one of each I have to say Oscar is far messier in every way than Lucy. She's a bit OCD and has to have things 'just right' before she begins anything (including pottying). Oscar is the one who pees on his front leg sometimes. Its never happened with Lucy. Oscar is also far sweeter and more cuddly than Lucy (although she's charming and loveable in her own special ways).
I love the name Rue and she's such a princess that it was a perfect nickname for Ruepunzel!! :)
My boy Poodle, Snuffleupagus, was just so relaxed and cuddly, She is very rambunxious and crazy but in a good way!
Hopefully when the snow melts, she will not tip toe and can balance better? Fingers crossed!!!
Ellie is also our first female dog...really not that different from our boy. Both very sweet, affectionate, cuddly, love to play, loyal, obedient, gentle, follow us everywhere...the only difference and not sure if it's just because she is still a puppy but our boy seemed more laid back...Ellie has lots of energy...but again she is only 7 months old...Your Rue is adorable...Enjoy!
Awe, Thank you.
Miss Ellie is stylin' in your profile picture! Too cute! :)
Two girls here, one not so much hair and the other similar to Rue (such a cutie), we keep their little girl regions trimmed so they stay a bit cleaner, you may want to have the inside of her legs clipped a bit until she gets her squat perfected. My Polly has gone from a partial squat to legs spread a bit farther and butt closer to the ground...there is hope. Have only had one male dog before and he was a dane, got a tad aggressive until we had him neutered then stayed a pussy cat ever after. My daughter has a male lab and we love him to death so I guess personal choice or just which ever you fall in love with.
That's where it gets a little tricky. I've been trying to keep down around there trimmed pretty well because I heard if it's not, she could get an infection and I don't want that! I am going to take her to get a bath from a groomer and have them trim her down there, her belly, and possibly her feet. Hope it helps!!
I've never had a girl and we weren't orignally looking for a girl. I did not want a girl, but she came up to me and just looked at me and that is where it all began.
Thanks for your feedback :)
