Cally is getting spayed tomorrow!

I put her into daycare today to get some extra energy out before those dreaded two weeks of rest! The daycare was great and made sure she was drinking plenty of water so she would not be dehydrated and I am doing the same.

I talked to my vet and they said they will definitely not make Cally stay the night if that is not my wish so that is great news! I do not have to find a new vet. Lol, but really! I have to drop her off between 7:30 and 9. I decided to let my mother take her since I have to be at work really early and it is probably best because she would be able to sense how nervous I am. They are going to call me before and after her surgery and when she is ready to be picked up. They are going to make her the first surgery ( at my vet they only do spay/neuter surgeries on Thursdays) that way they can keep an eye on her for the day. My favorite and her favorite vet techs will be there tomorrow so I am really happy about that!

Please send some positive thoughts that the surgery goes well and that I am able to at least keep her calm for a week....maybe the weekend. :)

Here is a current picture of Cally and her new bandana that just arrived today! Lauries niece made it! I am already ordering another one for Rosey!

Calmly looks wonderful in her lovely bandana. I hope all goes smoothly.

Thank you!

Good luck, Cally! I know you will do great. Your mom will do great too, this will all be behind both of you very soon. :)

Cally's only worry is that she cannot have her breakfast tomorrow! Thank you!

LOL...a girl after my own heart! ;)

Sending some healing and calming vibes to little Miss Cally. Mom: not too worry...she'll do fine ( I know, easier said, than done! )

Definitely easier said than done :) Thank you for the calming vibes we may need some more! Cally currently has the zoomies even after a full day of daycare! I really think the only thing Cally will not be happy about is that she cannot have any food tomorrow morning!

Good luck to you both, hope all goes well. At least it will soon be behind you.
Yogis date is Friday, so they'll heal together. Happy valentines Day. lol
Happy Valentines Day Yogi, your mom really knows how to celebrate! LOL although I am spending mine taking care of Cal and I would not want it any other way! Good luck Yogi!
Cally was dropped off at 7:30 and ran right to her favorite vet tech! They promised me they would try not to butcher her fur when they shave it, I told them I am more worried about her and make that a second thought! Cally was very whinny this morning. I tried to keep her in her crate as long as possible so she would look for food and we did about an hour of fetch this morning so she will hopefully be as calm as possible today! I did predict she would not be a fan or the no food no water rule because she kept running over to the food storage container and sitting next to it whining! They will call me at 2 after her surgery!

I have a shirt and a soft cone ready! I know the two week rule but Cally jumps on all the furniture to lay on it and usually walks up the stairs when it is time for bed, should i keep her leashed to me so she cannot jump up and down from the furniture and should I sleep in the living room for a while? Should I be worried about any medication they would send her home with or is it just the standard nausea and sedation meds? They will probably talk about all this when I pick her up but I just want to make sure I have everything in line.

Sending prayers, well wishes and positive thoughts for Cally's spay today...hang in there I know it's hard...but she will be just fine and will be home before you know it...take care!

Thank you! They just called and said they are getting ready to take her in. I now know how my parents felt when I had a ton of surgeries when I was younger!
