weather putting a damper on my pups arrival tomorrow

My mini GD puppy is scheduled to arrive at Laguardia airport tomorrow afternoon at 5:00pm

This storm we're having is already making me a nervous doodle parent!
He's flying from Toronto to Chicago O'Hare, lays over for two hours - then to LGA NY.

I really hope he makes it as he's a bday surprise for my wife, and her bday happens to be tomorrow also :-/

Here's an idea:  Why don't you buy her a round-trip ticket to Toronto for her birthday? That way, she can fly up there when the weather improves and fly back with her birthday present in the cabin with her.

That's a great idea Laurie. A pup that young possibly stranded for hours … I don't even want to think about what could happen.  I'd be driving or flying to Toronto ...

Book a trip for next weekend.  Fly to Toronto, take in a show, dinner and spend the night in a fabulous boutique hotel downtown and then Surprise!  A puppy gets delivered to your room!  The whole family flies home together.  Perfect weekend!

Let's look at the BIG PICTURE: one day vs. years of doodle happiness!  Hope all works out well and everyone, new pup included, stays safe and sound during the inclement weather.  Show your wife all these special thoughts - that will make a great birthday surprise!

If you both fly to Toronto together, she wouldn't need to know that the real reason for the trip would be to get the puppy. You could just tell her that you've planned a weekend full of surprises. Or, you could just buy a ticket for her. You could tell her that after disembarking the plane, she should walk to some predetermined meeting place in the airport, where a limo driver will be meeting her and taking her to a special spa retreat. Instead, the breeder will be waiting there with her real surprise. You could explain to her that you originally intended to send her tomorrow for Valentine's Day, but that you needed to reschedule because of the weather. Go out today and buy her something else for her birthday. She'll never suspect anything. After she's home with the puppy next week, you will be able to explain the whole story with your puppy safe and sound on her lap.

They were supposed to not ship him if the ither leg of the flight was cancelled

Well he shipped - and now the flight to NY is cancelled
ALL flights to NY are cancelled!!!!
Don't know why - it's not even that bad out!!!

Trying to have him flown to boston for 7pm
Not sure if that flight will last - but hasn't been cancelled YET

PS: ANYONE WANNA MAKE SOME MONEY DRIVING MY PUP FROM CHICAGO TO NYC TODAY??

I told them not to ship the dog if there was any chance of problems!

I was ready to drive to Toronto this morning - but it was too late.

It's offensive that without knowing me you would say that - I'm trying to do everything I can to fix the situation.
