My Doodle girl liles to cuddle in the floor and has a need to touch, although it has diminished somewhat, she will get as close a possible and even if only touching one toe - she is touching. She likes her chin and chest stroked, digs belly rubs, ear massages are worth standing for and neck/shoulder rubs are her biggest downfall. She will adjust position to have her curls finger combed while I'm just hanging out in the yard. She will come and lean for a rub, drop her face in my lap for whatever, and although hugs are not her favorite thing - sometimes she initiates and maintains at length. I say, yes, she is affectionate and being touched is pretty much her next favorite thing to a ball or a snack, but she will ignore either for some lovin.
Our girl Libby loves to snuggle, cuddle, be petted and of course the on the back tummy rub. If we sit down on the couch within seconds she is by our side snuggling up next to us. She is definitely a little girl that requires lots of love! She sleeps in our bed and the first thing in the morning when we wake up she is in our faces for kisses! I love kissing the bridge of her nose and she seems to like it because she never moves her head. She is a sweetheart!
Love it, holding hands was a trait that her mother passed on to her - I like to kiss the bridge of Journey's nose also and she never moves away.
My boy Finn loves hugs. He's a cuddle bug and loves to snuggle, loves belly rubs, and would be happy to have someone pet him 24/7 if someone was willing. If I sit down his head is on my lap. When we go out, he rarely accepts a treat (he'll drop it on the ground --but just as well because I no longer allow anyone to give him treats). He'll sit or stand patiently for a good rub behind the ears. If the store clerk is behind the counter -- no problem -- he'll counter surf for a "pet." People always say, oh let me get him a treat. I say, don't bother, he just wants a hug :) Not a fan of having his tail touched though!
Cheryl, Finn and Libby sound pretty much the same as love bugs! The tail thing is the same for Libby. No way does she allow you to mess with her tail! Love these Doodles!
: )
Quince does not like the top of his head petted, but does like the chest area. He has never been hit, but you would swear he is "hand shy" by the way he acts if you try to pet his head. Behind the ears is another fav spot.
My boys have different cuddle needs. Both very loving and yet different. Riley likes to make the decisions as to when it is cuddle time and he initiates it every time. He sleeps at the end of the bed and every morning creeps up on top of me and gets as close as he can. He likes his chin and head stroked and just to be near. During the day he will come and lie by your feet nearby and likes a belly rub. Boris needs lots of loving. He sleeps right beside me with his head on the pillow beside me and likes an arm around him. During the day he will constantly come and stand beside for cuddles and rubs. Both boys will also fight to decide who gets to sit beside us on the couch and Riley will climb onto my knee which of course he is too big for. I don't think either of them like to be hugged though they tolerate it when the need arises LOL
Nicky, your two boys must keep you busy in the love dept. :) So sweet!
