My little Yarrow gleefully jumped into the car this morning and was all happy at the vet's office.  She obviously holds no grudges for the vaccinations she received there.  I'm waiting to hear any time now that she's awake in recovery.

Here's a picture of her napping blissfully last night between her bed and her comfy mat, surrounded by toys.  Speedy recovery baby.

I hope you find out what's going on with her pee Deb. :(

I'm glad she's home safe with you.

Just catching up....hoping Yarrow is resting comfortably. I just saw the post on her tinged w/ blood pee. I thought I remember this as being fairly common, as long as it doesn't last and it is not pure blood. Hoping all is well!

Thanks Ro.  I found out it is fairly common.  Someone should let the vet tech know.  I'll call her tomorrow.  Yarrow is sleeping.

Oh for sure! Years ago, when I had one of my Goldens spayed, they warned me about this, but she was 6 at the time ( she was one of my breeders).
In having Enzo spayed a few months back, no one ever mentioned it...but I never saw anything either.
Glad Yarrow getting some shuteye.....you get some too and rest up!

Cute picture!

Wishing Yarrow a speedy recovery!

Hope your day goes by fast and Yallow is soon home making a speedy recovery!

How's Yarrow this morning?

After a mostly sleepless night of whining and panting, this morning Yarrow thinks it should be business as usual.  Her pee is back to yellow and I'm keeping an eye on the incision.  I had her cone off so she could eat and drink and in a flash, as soon as my back was turned while I poured a coffee, she was licking at her belly.  Message received - loud and clear, I will not take my eyes off her even to pour a coffee if her cone is off for eating. Keeping her calm with all 4 paws on the floor is challenging. She tells me, the way dogs do, that she wants to go out to play.  Actually, she is sleeping right now and I'm going to go lie down for 20 minutes too.

Deb, I do not know if you were following Callys spay but she itched around her stitches with her leg and Karen suggest Hydrocortisone spray and Cally has not touched it since, with either her mouth or her foot! I still leave a shirt and a cone on her when she is in the crate and I am gone, just for safe measures! Did they put Yarrow on an antibiotic like they did Cally?

Thanks for the Hydrocortisone spray idea.  I went over the invoice again this morning and if they have given her an antibiotic, it's not on the invoice - but they must have.  I'll phone and ask them.

Okay, I just called them.  No antibiotics.

Whoooo Hooo for yellow pee!!!!!!!!! ;)
