Topaz Simplify 4 on sale

I tried Corel Picture It and didn't like the simplified version. I have just noticed that Topaz Simplify 4 ( http://www.topazlabs.com/simplify ) is on sale for $19.95 which is half price.

Sure, I can and do work with Photoshop CS-6 to do conversions to art:

But, I am always looking for something new and twenty bucks is not too bad of a price...

These are fine but I don't "get" that they are cartoons.

F, I don't know....but it is called a cartoon by somebody (can't remember the name) when you use the software. Just trust me :)

I am working in iphoto - it saved the new image over the old, but I want to keep the original! How do I revert? And how do I save the edited image as a copy?

I don't use iPhoto, but when you save a picture you have worked on, I always do a "Save as" and add a letter to the back of the Image number. A "save as" does not touch the original photo, but saves the new revised one. I think once you save over your original, you can't revert back, but maybe somebody more knowledgeable will respond.

Don't know any of these programs but save as with any different name is good and a copy to work on is also good, especially if you love your original : )
