SO im about to purchase pet insurance, I think im going with healthy paws.. i take Midas to banfield pet hospital inside petsmart, and i have a wellness plan there that covers shots and visits and things like that so i am keeping that as well as pet insurance.. the thing is i bring him in for everything!! since i don't pay for a visit, so if he seems hurt even a little i bring him, if i see a bump i bring him.. now healhypaws is going to want all records, i also have (when i first first) got midas brought him to a private vet that my friend is the vet there, her and i always text when i have a concern about midas, she puts all those texts in her notes.. and many times its just me being crazy and over reactive about Midas, SO im worried that healthypaws will ask for both HER records and Banfield, i brought Midas maybe once to my friends office and never again, will healthy paws know about that or will they just accept my regular vets records??
also i posted earlier this week that midas is limping a bit, healthy paws has a 2 week waiting period before coverage starts, he seems to have gotten a little better but i feel like i cant bring him to banfield now because then it will be in the records and be a pre existing condition!! i don't know what to do, i have been thinking about walking into a random vets office and getting him checked and hoping the insurance doesn't find out, will they? i know that sounds horrible, but i don't want to make Midas wait and i don't want it to be listed as pre existing because then if anything serious ever does happen to his leg they wont cover! i thought of getting petplan because they cover in 24 hours and then i an bring him to vet, but in the long run that plan doesn't fit our needs...i don't know what to do.. please don't judge me, if you have helpful advice im willing to hear thanks in advance xoxo

I agree!
We are getting our pup in 5 weeks and I'm definitely going with Healthy Paws. I like the annual deductible combined with the reasonable price.
I would look into PetPlan. Healthy Paws is much more expensive per month... whats your rate?
For an 8 week old male puppy, the cost for Healthy Paws' 90% coverage / $250 annual deductible is $30.60 a month. This may be slightly higher than Pet Plan because Healthy Paws has an annual deductible vs. a per incident deductible. So, if in a calendar year, your pet gets sick twice for unrelated issues, you will pay the deductible twice with Pet Plan and all the other plans.
Healthy Paws was rated number 1 in a recent consumers advocate ranking:

We're talking an overall difference of a few dollars a year. As you can see Healthy Paws ranks #1 and Pet Plan ranks #2. Both are great plans. You can't go wrong.
