Just wondering how everyone picked their pup's name, did you have a name before you got your pup or waited until after you got your pup?  My family has so many opinions and can not all agree, our pup isnt even born nor do we know male or female. Is it possible for a family of 5 to agree on a name? lol

Our puppy will be born in about three weeks. We know we are getting a female so that helps some. We actually have narrowed it down to 5-6 names and might be able to narrow it down more. However, someone is always tossing another " best-most favorite-perfect" name in the pot! We're really hoping to get down to 2-3 names and then see which name is the perfect for our puppy. We just need to get 2-3 names everyone loves! Good Luck to us ALL!
I'm in the same boat. We are also a family of 5 trying to figure out a name. I think once we know the sex it will be easier. Also since I will be most responsible for the care of the dog, I think I will get the last say--at least that's the way it should be :-). Ours is due April 12th.
Our new girl is due March 12th.....only 19 days away!

I like the "one most responsible gets last say" and that would be me! lol

We also have a family of 5. We picked out our puppy's name while we were waiting for her to come home. (Couple more weeks) we could not get everybody to agree but we got 4 approved an and went with it. Try having everyone writing a couple names down each. Then everybody votes on all names for their top 3. That is how it worked for us. Good luck!

Good idea just trying to get a couple of names approved, I have 3 adult children living at home and boy are they opinionated lol.   Such an exciting time.....waiting and prepping .....can't wait for all of us to be able to show off our little ones, nothing better than puppy pic's

We are also a family of 5!  Our kids are 11, 16 and 18.  Our 18 year old is in college.  Since this is our first dog we really wanted the kids to pick the name.  My oldest daughter was the only one of the 3 who felt very definite about what type of name we should choose.  She wanted a literary name.  Since we are a family of readers that made the decision easier.  We ended up choosing Hugo (after rejecting many other literary names that my oldest threw out there), named after Victor Hugo the author of Les Miserables.  4 out of the 5 of us saw the movie together, my 11 year old son has been trying to get through the book and it is on my husband and daughter's reading list.  My 11 year old son is a musician and totally obsessed with the movie.  With that being said, we did have some back-up names just in case we got him and felt he wasn't a "Hugo".  We just met him for the first time on Saturday and new instantly that he was definitely a Hugo, so Hugo it is!

Don't ya love it when the name you like just fits!  Congrats on Hugo!

We are a family of 5. We know we are getting a female so that made it a little easier. I looked online and came up with 3 names and had everyone vote ( mine counted for 2 since I'll be the one doing most of the work) ;-). We picked Sadie~Lou. She is due on March 20 and we are super excited!!

Awww I bet Sadie Lou will be just as cute as her name!

We're getting an ALD in 3 weeks. We had been discussing names and really liked Boomer. We went to pick our pup last week. He was bouncing around,,,hopping here and there...like a kangaroo. We decided Boomer was a good fit...the Australian name for kangaroo!

Also, need to change my profile pic. It won't let me use my picture although it's within the size limit.Any help is appreciated!!

That's a great name!  Boomer....I can just picture him jumping around...lol    sorry can't help with profile pic (I usually get one of my kids to help me)
