Jennifer, I would never say a word about your typos! I am sorry that you are back in the hospital, but as usual am so very glad to see that you are being yourself. I have heard about the Aloe being good for joint pain, as well as EPO - but I must say that for me they do little if anything. My yeast is ridiculous, my joint pain cannot be managed, but there are days when I would happily chew tires or swallow gravel if someone said it would help. Winter increases the inflamation for me, frankly any unstable barometer - add to that piped in heat and so on, yep - yeast brews.
Seriously, I can't comment on the effectiveness of these - EPO does nothing for me at all. MSM does me a lot of good, but since we are all different it's often best to consider our individuality. Codfish oil - look for one with the 'flavor' removed, otherwise you will burp fish all day. :) My NP ran me through the wringer with this and that, do whatever you can - sorry I'm not more help, but I do hope you feel better soon.
I find it all interesting and hopefully you will reap the benefit of these additions. It's great that your MD is also spreading into holistic treatment and truly sounds like a compassionate individual
This link has some very fascinating information, encapsulated, on the many aspects - thought you may enjoy reading. http://www.herbwisdom.com/herb-evening-primrose.html#Ease-the-joint...
Hey Jersey Girl, hoping today brings you some relief and rest. I may have to try EPO for my joints.
Just a note: EPO should never be given to dogs with seizures. Short term use in healthy dogs may be fine but long term use may decrease their immunity or cause over issues.
Aloe Vera is toxic to dogs. The gel of the plant is harmless but the latex is poisonous.
I'm glad you're typing:) Hang in there, Jenn. Many prayers are being sent.
Jennifer ~ hang in there!. Thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope to hear you are back home with Jack soon!
Jenn, you have nothing to apologize for :) You keep that zest going, girl :) Hoping that your new doctor finds something that can give you a breakthrough and that you're home with Jack soon. Hugs (and wags from Finn).
Truly no need to apologize but it is important to not generalize from a special case. I certainly did not mean to say you were misrepresenting anything. I just want people to think systemic yeast infections are usual in people or dogs.
I wish you could get one but for the meantime you keep working on this one: )
Careful with EPO if you're pregnant (and a human)....it softens the cervix and helps prime it for labor! :-)
