Chin licks

Does anyone else have a doodle who does chin licks?  My ALD has always been a chin licker and he frequently greets me this way.  Sometimes he even jumps up and licks me on the chin, but most of the time it is when I am sitting (here at the computer desk) or on the couch.  He just comes up and gives me a lick on the chin.  Our house guest (another doodle) does the same.  When I am scratching his head, he gives me a chin lick.  Groucho did an even stranger chin lick.  My friend who is in her seventies and an avid walker would frequently go walking with us and usually started out with Groucho on leash.  He started  jumping up and licking her chin but never touching her.  He would just jump up and give her chin a lick.  Anybody else have doodles who do this?

Yes Lynda, Libby is a chin licker, but we just call it our kisses:)  She is an ALD also and her chin licks are very frequent!  I find it a form of endearment!

Nope - as a matter of fact we have discussed this in our house, she has been the least sloppy with her lovin of all our dogs. She will hug, touch, nudge, and lay her head in lap.  She will suck  my thumb.  She is not a licker at all - although very affectionate and she instigates all forms of affection. Meanwhile my little Aussie is a total kissy face and ear nibbler.

Quincy goes for the cheeks and then - if I let him- the lips...not so crazy about that!  His all time favs when he is up in the bed with are my ears!  and of course after I put on body lotion, he licks like crazy!

Both of mine love to kiss my face....preferably my WHOLE face...no chin licks.

Our Murphy has always been allowed to "Make out" as I call it with DH. He just does chin licks with me and only occasionally. I must have discouraged it when he was a pup because he just doesn't even try much. DH has always let him so when DH comes home, its crazy doodle kisses time. I tell them to "Get a room"!!!!
Bella isn;t allowed to face kiss at all because she is a poop eater, so it just isn't going to happen! And she is the most affectionate of the two, but will take loads of rubs, hugs and belly scratches instead. And yes, she does like to lick arms and legs when there is lotion involved. (And Im SURE she hasn't been outside eating poop!)

Sue, I thought Max was weird with the lotion but now I see he's not. I can't even put lotion on in the same room with him.

Beau is a licker, and he will gently come over to be and lick my cheek!  He would like to lick Charlie, but Charlie tells him quickly to knock that off!  Charlie is not a licker and does not want to be licked!  Interesting..

Both of our pups love to lick the lotion off of my legs in the morning when I am getting ready.  I'm telling them to leave it since I would rather stay clean for at least half a minute after my shower!
