Zoë has started to play a game with her water bowl- she will take a few drinks, step back, then pounce into it with both front paws. Water goes everywhere then she runs through house like a crazy dog with wet paws. Has anyone else experienced this? It's pretty hilarious, but we'd like to find a bowl that is designed to prevent this. And yes, we already tried raising bowls off the ground.
Thanks!

With that, I will add that if I ever come up with a decent way to mount a water bottle to my kitchen cabinet I will use the Lixit bottles - but by the time I hit the big size it seems difficult - but some days I have dreams of a dog with a dry face and me with dry socks. .

Me too, Sally.  Our pup has (dare I say) forgotten how much fun this is.  Our kitchen floor and her face are always soaking wet after water, but she has stopped practicing her diving!  It seems like all the bowls mentioned here help with tipping or jumping in.  I'm wondering if any help with the water in the beard.

Sophie used to like to dig in her water bowl with both front paws when she was a puppy.  Here is a link to the bowl we got that finally stopped the digging!

Finn loves to do this! Somewhere (early) along the way, he realized this is not an indoor game -- or maybe his furry bear paws just got to big for the water bowl. He's 3 and still paddling…outside lol

Thanks for all the help! LOL...Cheryl you have given me a good idea, like potty training, I can say "Outside, splash outside" and take her to a bowl outside. HA!

We use the Buddy Bowl to keep Ned and Gordie from dancing in the bowl.  You can use the DK amazon link. There are two sizes:
