I feel like this is a silly question, but where is a good place to purchase dog tags?

Here is a discussion I started to keep it all in one place! http://www.doodlekisses.com/forum/topics/id-tags-and-collar-suggest...

Are you talking about the name tags?  I get mine at Petsmart -they have a "TagWorks" machine which I think does a great job!  I think the tags hold up better than the ones from the other machines that make them "Fido and "Quicktag" I think??

They are great!
I got mine at Petco. Lots of designs to choose from and reasonably priced.

I didn't want a tag dangling that could get caught on something so I use the tag that attaches flat on her collar from boomerang.com  and I included the 800 number for her microchip.  It's has a lifetime guarantee included.

Hello, check out gogotags.com, they look great!

We buy Red Dingo tags...they have lots of choices & colors, are stainless steel, smooth & last forever. They are offered to order at better dog stores...I order them on ebay.

They also sell inexpensive collars that are very well made.

Thanks everyone - such great suggestions - so many choices!  How will I ever choose???!

We order ours on-line from Luckypet.  Actually, I call the number on their website so that I can talk them through what I want because I have both sides of the tag printed with information. We get the plastic tags - although Ned does have a metal shamrock one.  Luckypet guarantees their tags forever.

I like that Lucky Pet has the owner alert - just like the Medic Alert bracelets my kids wear for their allergies!  What do you think of plastic vs metal?

My girls have the flower ones and I think they are the classic ones from lucky pet! They are a adorable! They are stainless steal!

A few more questions regarding Lucky Pet.  Do you recommend purchasing the extra clip?  And how do you recommend sizing.  Our pup will be about 8 pounds when we bring him home on Saturday, but he will be 45 pounds when he matures.  Should I size "up"?
