Breeder recommendation Southern California

I live in San Diego and this is my breeder.  I got Gracie Doodle from Christy almost 7 years ago.  Meanwhile, there are 5 or 6 of her Doodles living near me that we recommended.  Christy makes beautiful Doodles and if I were ever to get another one I would go straight to her!  She lives in Alpine which is just East of San Diego.  Check out her website.  If you contact her tell her you heard about her from Nancie Casey and GracieDoodle.  She knows us well.  Also, there is a Christy's Goldendoodle Group on DK...Good Luck!

One of the very important things to find out when choosing a breeder is that the parents have had health testing. If you are going to pay these prices for a doodle, you want the breeder to have made their best efforts at breeding genetically healthy  dogs as possible - just like reputable pure-breed breeders do.  Another extremely important thing is to know where the adults live - IN the home, in kennels in a garage or outbuilding etc. Socialization is vital and dogs kept in kennels rather than interacting with humans all day, may have more problem integrating into your home and family.  Breeders who have lots of dogs may not be able to keep them in their homes and give them as much attention.

We also used Christy's Goldendoodles in San Diego.  We got Bailey from her almost 5 years ago.  We are in Irvine.  She is the best dog!  So smart and lovable!  I can't imagine life without Bailey.  She is one of a kind!  Good luck!
