From two minutes to 30 minutes is quite a big jump in just four sessions. It might take more time--and it is important to have the right attitude--I assume you are putting her in a crate, so make the crate a good place all day, every day. Dinner, special treats, new toys--all in the crate...it will become a happy place for her--do not always close the door when doing that, just let her go in and out some of the time.
Then, when you need to leave her, give her a treat or a toy (a safe one) and close the door quickly--do not comfort her or say anything at all to her--just GO! The more attention you pay to the crying, the more she will do it. Even a look or a calm "it's OK" will encourage her to cry more...pretend to be deaf. Do this when you are at home too--she will improve once she knows that she is not getting to you! You can also play a radio or leave the TV on. That could help.
oh no Ginny i did that slowly, not only four sessions I have been doing this for a whole week , this time I want to try longer, and after 15 min she did settle down and stop crying, i hope we are on the right way. and we do put her in the crate when we are home and need to cook dinner.
Thank You Ginny for pointing some things out it will help me a lot.
So sorry your Aria (beautiful name) is having some difficulty adjusting to being without you. I really can't add anything more to Ginny's advice. She has had much experience with puppies and really knows her stuff so I would encourage you to try her suggestions. Good luck!
