Has anyone purchased or visited Nautical Goldendoodles in Virginia or New Hampshire (previously of Maine)?

If you go on goldendoodles.com you can get some good recommendations for breeders in each state, that's how we found ours (of course you still want to do your own research but it's a great place to start). You can also email the person who runs the site [e-mail] with questions about a particular breeder and she will give you any information she has including what people have reported back to her about the breeder.

Bart, I just realized that I emailed Blue abt Nautical- here's what her email said:

I collect feedback for all of our listed breeders and I'm more than happy to share some of the wonderful referrals I've collected for Nautical Goldendoodles.  All of our listed breeders meet health testing and warranty criteria.  I've been referring people to Nautical since 2007 and they have beautiful dogs and have a wonderful reputation.  I met Colette and Steve at a Doodle Romp on Cape Cod a few years back, and they were lovely people.

I just wanted to touch base with you about one of the new breeders you are considering listing on your
website - Nautical Golden Doodles.

 

My family and I purchased a puppy from Steve Morse on Jan. 30th, and I have to say that we could not be
happier.  Both Steve and Colette Jette-Scott are easy and friendly to deal with, and we could tell that they
really love the dogs.  The dogs are truly well taken care of. They welcomed visits to the kennel and spent
quite a bit of time on the phone and in person answering our many questions.

 

When I picked up our new pup, Colette provided me with a 3 ring binder which included the health certificate,
the eye, heart, and hip clearances for both parent dogs, the lineage of each dog going back several
generations for the golden, and some basic information about caring for our puppy.

 

They do provide a health guarantee of up to half the purchase price of the pup for a period of 2 years and
do not require the return of the puppy.

 

I had our pup checked at the vet, and he found her to be in good health with the exception of round worms
which I was told was not uncommon.

 

Steve and Colette both expressed that they are there for the support of the pup's entire life and to please
feel free to call or email with any questions.  They provided me with both home and cell phone numbers.

 

As for our puppy, I have to say that we could not be happier.  She is so sweet and lovable.  Colette and
Steve matched the personality of our puppy with our family and she is truly wonderful.
