So Hoka and my 2 fosters have all had intermittently anywhere from watery diarrhea to mushy stools. No solid poops for awhile.  Moxie is 100% normal, but she may carry too per the vet.

I was reassured it was likely just stress and food changes, apparently not so much!  Not sure which strain of coccidia, but she said it is one that is infective to dogs. Anyway, starting Albon and continuing probiotics that I had already begun.  Any advice on needed environmental cleaning?  We are pretty non-phased by infectious diseases here (an ICU nurse and Infectious Disease people-doc), just want to make sure we are doing everything right.

All are frisky and happy… drinking/peeing, etc.

Here's a fun action shot from today to prove it!

Thanks!

Marie, I have no advice, but thank you for doing all that you are doing for these dogs. Good luck!

Love the " fun" picture. Bright side, they are all feeling well....hoping things get better quickly.
Marie, thanks for the fun picture. Hope everyone is on the mend soon. :) you are awesome!

I am sorry Marie that you're having to go through this. The picture is wonderful and it looks like they're having a great time. Hopefully this all gets cleared up quickly.

Thanks so much for taking such great care of your fosters.  Three dogs with this has to be a pain!

I assume the advice on environmental cleaning would be the same as giardia.  You need to pick up the poop immediately and spray the area with a mixture of bleach and water.  Always clean their butt and paws when you bring them inside and be sure to wash their bedding.  It isn't an easy process, but along with the meds it worked for my guys.  Good luck and thanks so much for helping these Doodles.

Apparently bleach does not kill the eggs.  The yard is my biggest concern.  A bit of a toxic mess with rain following 3 pups with watery stool.

Oh Marie! Thank God they have you and I hope for a speedy recovery for all!

Oh dear, they are apparently feeling fine, but I sure am sorry for you to have to deal with it - x4.  Thank you for sharing their play time and starting my day with a smile.

Hi Marie - I don't have any advice on cleaning, but thank you for all you're doing for your fosters.  Love the happy doodles-playing picture!  Hope they all get better quickly

That's a lot of cleaning up!  Thank you for helping them all!
