I can't tell you why, but when I looked at that adorable little guy, the names Casper and George came to mind. Is the entire litter as cute as your two puppies? Wow!

You will love her no matter what color she is - but I think Kiwi is still adorable no matter what!  Libby started out jet black but started silvering after she turned 1.  Now she is both and of course I think just beautiful.  I think so many doodles change colors it's hard to be sure what you're getting.  But again, you will love her just as she is!

I still think Kiwi is awesome name, if her color changes think how the fruit also can very is shade.  She is so darn cute and that color is lovely, so unique. If she were a cat we would call her Lilac or lavendar - it's very interesting what those genes can do. Papa was a gorgeous color.

As for your friends pup - all I saw was an Abner or perhaps a Henry, but what fun to have a friend with a littermate! I hope you stick around and keep us posted.

I still think the name suits her!  And who knows, these Doods change coat so many times, she may go darker again.  No matter....she's still a cutie!

Just as an afterthought.....after awhile, you won't even see color!
When wevwent to look at Enzo's litter.....our thoughts were to go with a black male. We had just lost our 13 yr old Golden. I did not to be reminded of our Golden and comparing the newbie to our passed Golden. I sat down within the litter and within seconds, the girl who we now call Enzo, was in my lap. I cuddled her, but was anxious to meet her 3 black brothers. I pushed her aside and moved towards the black trio...she was back in my face within seconds. We must have repeated this 10 times! Tenacious little thing! And it paid off....we ended up naming her as our own. After a few days, I never noticed her color...black or golden...I was in love! Dark Kiwi/ light Kiwi, won't make a darn bit of difference within hours of her being in your arms. Enjoy and anxiously awaiting more pics!

Kiwi is an adorable name no matter color she ends up being. I don't think you would be sorry because you won't see a lot of other dogs with that name.
