Take a look at the Orvis "Tough Chew" line
These are used by our Vet and many rescues...they are just about indestructible. We have one and both our past Golden and Enzo love it.
We love the Kuranda beds in our house!
Kuranda beds are terrific. We have one that is kept out on our back deck during the summer months. Charlotte chooses it when it's hot outside, as the air can circulate underneath it, while Wally usually prefers the floor. I must say that they're very well made and quite easy to assemble. I bought the largest size available. If you're looking for something that's indestructible and you don't mind that it isn't soft and cozy, you can't go wrong with a bed from Kuranda.
When any dog of mine started chewing on their bed, the bed is removed. Time of removal has varied and catching them in the act is best - then I pull it up, stash it in plain sight behind a gate. Next day we try again - nope then I waited and waited. No beds died during the process, but one did get a hole in the corner of the cover and she had to look at that bed for quite a while before I gave it back to her. It made an impression on her and now we have nice beds in every room.
No memory foam in this house - can't wash it, too many chemicals outgassing - poly is bad enough and currently wool is too spendy, but we have a Kuranda out back that my husband bought - it's PVC and vinyl.... I hate what it's made of. The Coolaroo is the preferred bed of the dogs - they walk right past the Kuranda. I had safety concerns about the holes at the corner of the Coolaroo, but so far (18months) it's still perfect and no injuries to report. I have had dogs for nearly sixty years and rare has anything under aged two had a bed for long.
Orvis online also has beds that come with guaranteed chew proof covers. I have had two for over five years and both are still in perfect condition and wash well. That said, the Orvis round beds need to be ordered with extra stuffing as they are pretty thin. At least I think so.
