Someone mentioned a provincial park in Ontario with a dog friendly beach, but I can't remember :(

I thought I wrote down the name of the provincial park but I can't find it anywhere, or the message so I am hoping that if you told me you see this, and remind me please. I'm sorry I forgot. I am getting ready to make vacation plans for the summer, and we would really like to take Max with us.

The Pinery has a dog friendly beach (the most Northern one - away from the campsites).  According to my friend there is also a dog friendly campground at Craigleith near Collingwood.

I found this:  https://www.ontarioparks.com/park/craigleith

Where they say this:

Pets are part of the family so why not treat them like it! Bring your dog to the park and enjoy the pet exercise area and the designated pet beach where you are welcome to take your pet in for a dip.

Thanks BG neither of those were the one she mentioned but I'll check into those. My husband is kind of a camping snob lol...he doesn't want to go somewhere that's too close to here for some reason. I think the Craigleith one would be good though, and since my sister and nephew live in TO they could come visit us there. I tried looking on the provincial park website but I found it to be confusing. Like one would say it had a dog friendly beach then another place would say that's gone, so maybe I will have to call and check each one to be sure.

Arrowhead Park, just outside Huntsville in Muskoka has a dog friendly beach.

Port Burwell Provincial Park has a huge dog beach and it is awesome and beach on Lake Erie, shallow for dogs and little kids to play in but nice waves on the right windy day.. it is closer to your home, i think it my be my previous message you are refering to

Debbie yes it was you! But for the life of me I can't find that message even though I was sure I saved it. Thank you so much for posting on here, that was the one I was looking for.

Thank you Stella I will look at that one too. )

Long Point has a doggy beach. Look under amenities for each park on the provincial park website. That's where you will find pet friendly beaches.
Long Point is amazing .... Beautiful white sandy beach. Not a long drive for you or your Toronto relatives. You can book online.
Enjoy.

The Pinery Provincial Park has a dog beach. We discovered it at the end of the summer last year. It was great, and Josie had a blast. Looking forward to going again this year. If we ever get summer that is. It's going to take forever for the water to warm up enough for swimming.

Thanks Judi I will have a look at that one too, all these choices!

Cathy I really really hope we do get a summer after this horrible winter. :(

I have been looking forward to taking Max swimming since we got him. Since he's always trying to get in the tub I imagine he'll like it, at least I hope he will.
