Local person sought for killing a doodle-second update with photo of killer

This is very upsetting--apparently, someone in our area threw what is described as a "designer dog" mixed breed into a river nearby with his legs and mouth bound---the dog was found dead on the shore....our local weatherman is an animal advocate and is posting the picture of the dog so that the owner can be identified and brought to justice.

Please don't open the link if it will be too upsetting for you, but I wanted to pass this on in case anyone in the Albany NY area that is a DK member recognizes this dog....I wish I could get my hands on the person who did this to the sweet pup.

UPDATE:

Apparently, he has pled not guilty and told the girlfriend that he gave the puppy away...bet the dog was trying to protect the girl from him and that is why he got rid of the poor puppy...ugh! There is a mug shot of the man--the dog is not pictured here...

This is just completely heartbreaking. It makes me physically ill. I don't pretend to begin to understand how someone could do such a thing. That poor animal.

I am nauseated by this. That poor little dog.

Why do they think it was the owner? Maybe I'm naive, but I can't imagine anyone doing this to their own dog. Isn't it more likely some sicko stole the dog from the yard?
