Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Welcome to puppy madness! I think it would be a great idea to all post a little about yourself and your doodle. Photos are ALWAYS welcome.

Thinks you might want to share:

1) Your Name/Doodle Name

2) Location

3) Doodle type (goldendoodle/labradoodle; mini/standard; F1/F2)

4) Doodle age/weight

5) Photo

6) Anything else

Would also be great to come back here as your doodle ages to respond to your comment and post updates for age/weight/photos etc.

This is Oakley who is a 11 week old multi-gen labradoodle. He is about 8 pounds of sweet fluff and such a cuddle bug. Potty training is going well and seems to have the doggie door figured out. Working on the mouthing- ugh! We live in Vacaville Ca and just adore our new family member!

Hi Christina and Oakley! Welcome and would love to watch Oakley grow through his phases...got to get just get cuter and cuter!

All the puppies are so precious.  Looking at the pictures aways puts a smile on my face.  Enjoy the puppy stages as they grow so fast into teenagers and adults.

My five year old cockapoo isn't crazy about her (to say the least).  I know this is normal but not what I envisioned...

Also, she's peeing 15+ times a day.  The vet said to limit her water to 8oz. and see if it improved.  Has anyone else had a doodle that didn't know when to stop drinking and hence peed and peed and peed?

Omg, she's gorgeous. My breeder recommended water at meals and then for 15 minutes at 8pm. So basically do not give unlimited water. It's worked pretty well for us.

Clover is just gorgeous! I don't think you are ever supposed to limit available water except taking up water before bedtime for small puppies. If she is peeing extremely frequently, she may have a UTI.

What a cutie! Actually, I don't think 15 times a day is all that unusual! Especially a baby like this. Think about it...once an hr. for that tiny little bladder!
Enzo has always been a big drinker and many times I have to tell her enough. I only ever limited her water intake after 7pm.

My puppy is 10 weeks and does something I call "cluster pee".  He does have unlimited water so he goes through these spurts where is pees almost every 5 minutes.  This lasts about 15-20 mins and then he is done.    I think the second he feels and pressure on his bladder he wants out to pee.  I don't mind this  a bit.  I am fairly confident is saying that he is just about housetrained.  If there are accidents, it's because I haven't seen him waiting at the door.  The one thing I do though, is limit his water at night.  @ 8:00 the water bowl comes up.   He know sleeps from 10pm until 6:30am.  Considering where we started from 2 weeks ago, I will take that!   Good luck!

Love the term Mari! I called Enzo a " double pee'er". As a very young pup, she would pee outside and then go again in another 5 min. Indoors. Took me about 3 times to figure out, she needed to say out, pee her double pee and ONLY then come inside. She outgrew this pretty quickly.
Rule of thumb is for a pup to be able to go 30 days with no accidents to be termed housebroken. LOL..can't tell you how many times we had to restart the clock! :p
