Help with Kennel information.

Hello everyone. My husband and I are visiting Mansfield OH this next Month and need a place to send Rigby over night for one night. He goes everywhere with us and enjoys traveling, he's never really been away from us only for his neutering. He don't crate him either. Anyway, we are going to a "ghost hunt" at the Ohio State Reformatory and cannot/will not leave Rigby at the motel. Pretty sure they wouldn't allow it anyway. Looking for some place safe for Rigby to stay from Friday afternoon around 3-4 until Saturday until noon possibly.

Does anyone recommend a good kennel/pet hotel? I have looked at some and need recommendations. Anyone hear of the Animal Medical Center Pet Resort in Mansfield OH? Anything better than here?

No I havent. Have you used it before? I will check it out. I would like to find a place that someone has first hand knowledge about how good it is and if people trust a certain place. Thank you!

I live in Akron, Ohio, about a 30-40 minute drive north of Mansfield.  You are welcome to send Rigby here overnight or for a day or two.

We are experienced dog owners, have beena foster home on and off for over twenty years ( Labs in the 90s and 5 doodles  recently, and have dealt with some severe cases of dogs coming into our home.  Rigby would be a treat compared to those circumstances. 

We have a half-acre, 6 foot fence.  How is Rigby with other dogs? Spud is 5 but acts like he is two.  So, we should be able to happily wear them out and maybe, just maybe, Rigby wont know you are gone for awhile as he will be very tired from playing.

We just received Copper for a six-week stay.  He belongs to a family in San Jose and they are going to Paris for six weeks.  He is ALWAYS welcome here.  He came and stayed with Harpo when he was so depressed because of Groucho Too dying.  So I have three dogs again, but this time it is great dogs who we enjoy being around.  You will love having your dogs stay with Joanne.  Spud is such a beautiful dog.  A love of mine, for sure.

OMG Stephanie, I would drive 3 or 4 hours, let alone 30-40 min, to bring my dogs to Joanne if she would watch them for me. Id just be afraid they wouldn't want to come home to me after a day/night in her care with her pack!!!!
