Mouth Gunk

Oliver loves to lick his lips (especially after eating).  This means lots of food things get stuck in the hair around his mouth.  It's hard to keep this clean & mat free.  He still loves to bite at the brush and comb when it's by his mouth.  Wrestling with treats, kongs and bully sticks while working around his mouth is a challenge.  Any tips on how to keep this area in good shape?

What has worked best for me is a gentle wipe down with a damp washcloth after meals.

We use a damp paper towel to wash Oscar's messy face after meals. It helps to keep his beard and chin cut a bit shorter too.

Thanks ladies.  That's the strategy we're currently using - wipedowns & no long beard.  I guess poor little O just likes to make himself a mess!
