Asking for Prayers for a friend's toddler

Hi DK Friends,

If any of pray, I could use some prayers for a friend.  Her husband and two sons (my kids' ages) were in a terrible accident.  They were leaving the lake, traveling on a dirt road and hit an area of washboard and it sent them over the cliff and into a lake.  The dad was able to pull the eldest out and he got CPR right away.  The youngest (2.5 years old) was not found by Dad but rangers were able to find him.  The eldest boy has been released and is okay.  But their toddler is hanging by a thread. The latest update from my friend:

"Riley was lifeless for 2hrs and 20min before they were able to get a heart beat. Over the course of the day and A LOT of work, they have been able to stabilize him. They are keeping him in a hypothermic state to help keep his body from over working itself. We have about a 24 hour window of time to wait while they slooooowly warm up his body. After that 24 hrs, we will have a better idea of brain activity. Warriors - we have 24 hours to move mountains."

This is never good, but when it happens to a child, it's heart-wrenching to think about because my son and her son are only about a month apart in age.  So I can imagine how scary and painful this time is.  Please if you pray, pray for a miracle!

Riley made it through the night well.  Here is an update:

"Riley is being weaned off of some of the medication they were using to keep him alive [because he seemed to not need some of it]. His oscillator went from 100% down to 31% throughout the night. They are warming him up .5 degrees every hour to bring him out of his hypothermic state. Still no sign of brain activity thus far. We serve an amazing God. Please pray for miracles today. And for Lawrence [Dad]. We appreciate everyone's support and kind words more than we can possibly express. We love you all."

OMD!  What a tragedy, for son and father.  Miracles do happen and it is amazing that Riley is still hanging in there.  Our thoughts are with them during this very trying time for the whole family and neighborhood of friends.  Hugs to all.
