Chester County with your Dog

Know of any dog friends parks, dog parks or anything you do with your dood in and around Chester County.  We took Henry to Hibernia Park last weekend and it was so much fun!  The whole park is dog friendly and is loaded with walking trails, pavilions, fire pits, a lake, fishing, swing sets.  Love to hear of other parks around me.

We are free on Saturday but it's supposed to be 30 and a little snowy. I think I'd rather it be a little nicer!

Hello.  We live in Downingtown, PA and will be first time Doodle (and puppy) owners by Memorial Day weekend.  I enjoyed reading about the different parks and walking trails for our new Doodle.  Thank you for sharing the info.

I'm in West Chester, PA.  There are 2 dog parks in the area. Downingtown has Lloyd Park which is a huge mostly fenced in area where dogs are allowed off leash.  The side that isn't fenced in borders a stream. I've only gone there twice with our doodle.  The other dog park is in West Chester off of Pottstown Pike where the Wawa and the skate park are. It's much smaller than Lloyd but it's a more convenient location for me.  I believe they have to be 4 months old in order to come in the park, so maybe by fall you'll be ready to try it out.  However, there are tons of walking trails around.  We like the Struble trail and the trail off of 322 in Downingtown as well as Stroud's Preserve.  We need a doodle date for the Chester County Doodles.

Once our puppy is old enough and has clearance for visiting public areas, I would love to help coordinate a Doodle Romp or Playdate.

Doodle Playdate! Hickory Springs Farm Kennel on October 19 @ 10:30am-12:30pm. Email me if you are interested. Details to follow. RSVP required. Space accommodates 30 dogs. Dogs must have excellent social skills with dogs and people.
