hi guys!

i'm new to DK and very excited about adding a goldendoodle to our family.  i've been extensively researching online for breeders and i am quickly becoming overwhelmed.  just so scared of choosing the wrong breeder.  i have read the DK link on 'what to look for in a breeder', and that has helped tremendously.  

we are in miami, florida, however, willing to travel to pick-up our new pup.  so please any breeder recommendations would be amazing.  please PM me as i know we are unable to talk about / recommend breeders on here.  

and just out of curiosity, anyone have experience with Mckenzie's Doodles in Virginia and / or Moss Creek Goldendoodles in Florida?  please PM if you do.

Regarding the first breeder you asked about, their health guarantee will offers you a replacement puppy, nothing more. As mentioned in the What To Look for in a Breeder article, this is totally unacceptable. Run the other way. In addition, there is no mention of testing on the breeding dogs.

Welcome to DoodleKisses, the best website around for doodle lovers everywhere.  Since breeders are not supposed to be recommended on the main forum, you might be better off sending some private messages from your inbox to friends.  Breeders know very well about the necessary testing and chose your breeder carefully.  You might attend a doodle romp in your area to meet other doodle owners - a good source of information.

Good luck and welcome to DK! I think that the one piece of advice I can give you is to find some breeders that look good online and then go visit them and make sure you meet the dogs or at least see where the pups are raised--you can also ask for names of people who have bought pups from them to see how they did....

I don't have any personal knowledge of either of those breeders, but Karen definitely made a great point, be diligent when overlooking websites and contracts for information. Good luck with your search.

No breeder recommendations, but welcome to DK.  As you are considering breeders why don't you also research adopting a rescue dog.  There are pros and cons in both.  Best of luck finding the perfect fit.  Doodles are wonderful and fun dogs.  Sophie is the dog love of my life!! Again, welcome, looking forward to meeting your new family member.
