What a doll! She looks very cute and cool in her summer cut.
I found a checkllist on here that gave some descriptions, but basically, I asked the groomer to trim her to 2 inches, and not to shave her, especially on her snout.
One thing I'll discuss with the groomer next time is the transition from her head to her ears. This grooming, Addie has a definite break between her head and her ears that reminds me of a poodle, not the seamless flow I have seen on pictures of doodles here and that I like better. I figure it takes time to work out new relationships, and anyway, Addie's hair will grow back fast.
Thanks! I will tell the groomer that too--I don't like the poodle look either and have been brushing diligently to prevent matting so that I won't ever have to shave her. We don't live in a super hot climate so it won't be necessary to shave her down.
Oh, what a cutie! Very nice cut, too. It usually takes a while with a particular groomer to get the exact cut you prefer, but I think your groomer did a great first cut.
what a beautiful girl!
Oh my, another phantom. She is beautiful. My phantom goldendoodle died in February and he had the most wonderful coat I have ever seen on a dog. Never matted and so easy to groom. She is beautiful - where did you get her? I am working with my groomer now to get a phantom sheepadoodle. She has the breeding stock but has not bred them yet. We will see what comes of that union. I can't wait! Take a look at the photos on my page if you would like to see my phantom.
