Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hello Everyone! It's picking time for my Goldendoodle puppy and I couldn't be more excited! I have first pick and have narrowed it down between these three boys. They are standard size just over 5 weeks oldand all weigh approx 5 lbs 15 oz. Since I live out of state, I have to rely on pics alone and would love to hear if any of these pups (particularly their color/coat/size) resembles any of your dogs features this age. This is totally just for fun, but I'd like any opinions on what you think these pups might look like as they get older. If you have any feedback at all, I'd love to hear it. I will post 2 pics of pup #1, then 2 pics of pup#2, and 2 pics of pup #3 and then a group shot of their heads. They are f1bs (mom is a Red standard poodle weighs 45 lbs and Goldendoodle dad is apricot and weighs 60 lbs). I'm mostly curious what you guys think as far as wavy, shaggy, or curly coat. I really don't see any main differences, so if you do please point them out. Also, if one of these looks like your dog as a pup, I"d like to see what your wonderful doodle looks like now. Breeder says their temperaments are all great and about the same, very active, playful and loving.

OMG - I don't know how you can stand waiting! He hs absolutely stunning. And look at those paws! I hope you have a big house! LOL!
Thank you so much. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!!!! AAAAhhhhhh!!!!! My house is medium size but we will make it work no matter how big our boy might get:) But personally, I think he's gonna be huge!!!! LOL!!!
Wow- he sure has grown!! He looks huge...how much does he weigh? I love his long curly ears! :)
I know right???? The last time he was weighed was when he was just over 5 weeks old and he was close to 6 lbs!! So I have no idea but just by comparing his 6 lb. picture from weeks ago and his picture now, he looks waaaaaay heavier now!! LOL!!! He is the biggest of the litter, so guess we will see!! He doesn't even look like a pup, he looks more like a grown dog huh??? LOL!!!!
Definitely has the teddy bear look! :-) Take LOTS of pictures when you first get him because he will grow super fast! I was slightly panicked about how big Riley's paws were at that age as I thought it meant she would be huge. Even with two standard size parents, she is only 36 pounds at 14 months. Which is good for me being that she can already drag me around if I'm not on guard. Best wishes!
Thank you sooo much!! I'm over the moon :)
They are all beautiful!!! I personally love the first puppy with the darker coat and white spots. If you like red doodles the darker the better because many of them tend to lighten as they get older. :)
But as others have said, personal preference for temperament is the MOST important thing. We also had to "select" a puppy without meeting her and based on breeder's recommendation and it ended up working out wonderfully. Daisy is a bit more high-energy than we would have liked but she is incredibly smart and sweet and she's still young so I'm sure she will calm down as she gets older. Keep us posted!!!
They are adorable! Personally, I'd probably go with the red one, but they are all so cute. You'll be getting your new baby just before I will- my future puppy is just over 4 weeks now. We'll have to compare notes! ;-)
I love the blocky face on #1, but that being said if I had to go strictly by photos, I would choose #3 - I love those soulful eyes! Good luck, looking forwarding to seeing lots of photos of the homecoming!
I really thought that dark red #1 was it....But I keep going back to # 3 also!! His eyes!! And when you put soulful eyes it really hit home bc that's what I've been thinking too. Look at these pics, and I don't think the red really has the blockiest face. I think that was just bc the red was closer up in the pic than the other two. Ya know, the angle of the picture can really alter sizes bigtime. For instance, check out these pics and the red boy #1 looks alot smaller in the face, more "poodly" face, but I want a big old blockhead. But then in one of the pics, the Red #1 looks sooo much taller than #3, however I think its just the way he is sitting. Red boy #1 is 5 weeks and weighs 5 lbs 12 oz and Red boy #3 is biggest in the litter at 6 lbs. Let me know if you still think #1 has the blockier face after checking these pics out. Thanks so much :)
