Shedding

The last couple of days Maggie has been loosing hair, not much but its in small clumps. Could she be blowing her puppy coat?

5 months seems a little young for changing to her adult coat. Typically, 9-12 months is the general time frame I believe.

Yeah I got to agree 5 months is regular shedding, blowing puppy coat comes later. At least 7 months is the earliest that I have found.

8-10 months is when it starts--but lots of doodles shed as pups and not as adults--and some shed all their lives!

I seem to recall a coat change at 5 months with Luna.  It was minor and didn't last long, but it came with a bit of extra shedding.

Same here with Ragley. Slight changes to her coat started happening around 5 months old

My boy, Rooster, will be 5 months old on the 30th, and I noticed a little shedding this morning!  Nothing too terrible, but definitely more than normal!

Junior is 6 months now and has begun shedding a bit which makes me assume that he will continue to shed.  One of our doodles - the one with the wavy coat - sheds.
