I'm not sure how many of you live in Minnesota, or near Minnesota, but I thought it would be fun to have a get together this summer. Now that my Sophie can see.. I think she would have a blast making some friends.
I saw the Doodle Romp that they put together for Illinois, and thought it looked like a ton of fun. Is anyone interested in doing something like that hear in the Minnesota/Wisconsin area?
Clyde and I would love a Minnesota Doodle Romp. I know several other doodle families and will incite them as well. (I've asked them to join this group but no one has yet ....) We live near Moorhead but can also gladly take a road trip, unless it conflicts with our annual summer motocycle trip. No, Clyde stays home with grandma, he does not ride.
Would you prefer a on the leash park or off of the leash dog park?
There is a large park with beautiful trails called Bunker Lake Park, right here in Coon Rapids/Andover.
There is a dog park in Coon Rapids, Bloomington, and Burnsville but I am not sure of the size, parking, or if a permit is required. As of now, Sophie will need to stay on a leash.
yes they so have a off leash park there is also one near St. Michael along the crow river, I like this park the best. I used both parks many times. If you don't have a seaonal pass it's only like $5 a day to use the park....WELL worth it when you travel with your doodles as I do. I visit the cites every month and take the dogs to the St. Michale location each morning, this makes the rest of the day go alot smoother.
If you are thinking about right away, for a Saturday, starting the 2nd weekend in March would work best. My boys will be done with basketball by then, I think. The first two weekends in April are bad for me too.
Hello Minnesota!! I am a MN native and now live in WI I come to the cities every month. Who in MN might have a Wilson Creek doodle?? I would love to hear from you, as I have 2 , F1 Labradoodles.
