I have always loved dogs, but since we lived in an apartment when I was growing up, having a dog was not an option. I had a canary and a guinea pig growing up. But I kept my parents amazed by knowing names of all dogs that lived in our neighborhood. We would go for a walk and my parents would scream at me as I was sticking my arms through fences to pet a dog that lived there. And I always answered: "Don't worry, this is Hugo" or whichever particular dog that was.

It wasn't until I moved to the US, got married, and bought a house that the idea of having a dog became real. I don't remember where I learned about doodles and why I wanted a doodle. I just remember knowing THAT'S the dog I wanted. I don't remember when and how I found DoodleKisses. All I know that my life will never be the same.

I'm so proud and honored to receive the HDA. It came to Colorado from my friend Ro (and Enzo) in San Diego. We visited San Diego in June, but have not had a chance to meet Ro and Enzo. So this makes the award even more special.

The box got here on Thursday afternoon. The boys have a "special sense" for the squeaky breaks of the UPS truck so they announced the arrival of the box loud and clear.

Apparently, they knew the delivery was for them.

We made room and started opening the box:

Auggie was so excited that he wanted me to hold his paw while we opened the box. He is a sensitive guy, you know: :-)

Ro sent us wonderful things: I got a nice smelling potpourri and a bottle of sand from San Diego beaches (we've been to SD twice and I'm in LOVE with SD...the boys love the beaches!). Monty and Auggie got a plethora of durable toys, they did not know which toy to play with first. It was so cute! And I love the giclee print of a beach doodle! That's my boys right there! I just wish we could move to San Diego! :-)

Two doodles happy as a clam:

DK is such a wonderful community! Thank you all for being my doodle friends.

Life with two dogs can be hectic, but I would not have it any other way. Love my boys!

Congratulations and welcome to the club, Jarka! I really thought you were already a member too :) Love that print, all the great toys, and how much fun the boys are having with all their goodies.  Well done Ro!  So well deserved Jarka, and two of my favorite boys --Monty and Auggie!!

Congratulations Jarka, M and A. This is a very well deserved honor. Great photo essay. Let's all move to San Diego : )

YAY....congratulations and welcome to the club, Jarka. I was shocked you were not already a member. Looks like Ro did a fabulous job and Monty and Auggie seem very happy with their haul :)

Congratulations!    What a wonderful photo essay!   Enjoy!!!

Thanks all. It was a fun day to receive the box. It's so funny how dogs love new toys. They still play with their new stuff. Ro really did a great job picking these toys. They are very durable so even Monty has not had a chance to put a dent in them (he tried). Must be that Ro has a dog at home that loves to shred toys as well, LOL. :-)

Congratulations!  Loved looking at all the great pictures and the doods enjoying their bounty of toys!
