It's been really miserable in Philly this week-raining, thunderstorms, the works almost everyday. Monday, I was barely able to take Stew out to go to the bathroom, let alone for a walk. It was a bad Stew night, he was crazy, attention seeking and it was REALLY hard not give him attention for barking.

Anyway, I bought chicken and made jerky/training bits by dehydrating them in the oven. I gave Stew A LOT of them as part of his dinner with a small amount of dry food, when we were training/playing fetch. Basically, every time he'd return the ball/toy, I'd give him a small piece (like a zuke's mini).

Monday- threw up in the middle of the night. He drank water after, he peed/pooped no problem.

Tuesday morning- drank water, peed/pooped no problem, although it was a little soft. He didn't eat his breakfast so I left it in his crate with his PB Kong. He hadn't eaten his breakfast when I got home from work, but my dog walker said he'd eaten his Kong, peed/pooped, but soft again.

Tuesday night- he ate part of the breakfast and his dinner (about 1 cup worth, since I deduct  a bit for the kongs).

Tuesday in the middle of the night- threw up again, then guarded it when I tried to clean it up. I couldn't get him away from it, so I was up at 2 am trying to bribe him into his crate for 30 minutes. FINALLY, got him in, then cleaned it up. He threw up again at 5 am, guarded it again, I cleaned it up, then took him for a walk, he peed and pooped immediately, and it was pretty watery.

I came back inside and he laid down and went right back to sleep until I got up at 7. I couldn't fall back asleep unfortunately.

Is this just the treats working the way out of his system? Do I give him a bland diet for a few days, add some pumpkin or yogurt to his dry food? When do I take him to the vet, if at all?

LOL that's a great way to put it! I hate to say it, but we've been to the vet twice because Oliver had a tender stomach due to "an abnormal gas pattern." It's so easy to overreact when they can't tell you that they just have gas and to chill out.
I hope Stew feels better soon. It's always nice to know nothing major is actually wrong!
Luckily it was only $300. The vet gave me free RX food because I work at Penn. I'm feeding him beef & rice though. I thought it would be best to stay away from chicken. He didn't eat any last night but gobbled it up this morning. I'm wondering how much to feed him? I know he'll need more than his usual amount of dry food (1 1/4 cups)

As an added bonus, he slept on his dog bed ALL night and didn't try to chew the leash or jump up on the bed! He looks happy to me!

I hope Stew feels better soon.  Finn had something almost identical a couple weeks ago. Didn't want to eat or drink and when he did it came right up again.  Then diarrhea. Was pretty miserable. No obstruction, thank goodness. So he was put on anti-nausea medication, bland diet, and it took about a week for him to feel better.

He still hasn't pooped yet today. The last he went was yesterday afternoon around 4 pm. He did eat this morning and has been drinking, but a little more lazy than usual. I might not have fed him enough of the beef/rice.

How much would you all recommend, if he gets 1 1/4 cups dry food?

To calculate that, I need the calorie content of the food, and/or the name of the exact formula, and his weight.

And the lean percentage of the ground beef, i.e. 85% lean or whatever it is.

I think there's 460 kcal. It's Blue Buffalo Adult Chicken & Brown Rice. I used 85% lean ground beef.

There are 442 calories in one cup of his food, so a cup and a quarter would be 552 calories. Assuming the beef & rice is a 50/50 mixture, it contains about 405 calories per cup, so you'd need to give him slightly more than one and a third cup of the homemade food to equal 1 and a quarter cups of kibble.
